4. My most transformative picture is the one of the purple flower below. This changed my view on photography because when I went out to shoot for this project, I saw the world in a different way. The flowers stood out to me more, the vibrant colors popped against the dull sky. I took the advice Mr. Farley had given me and I got down on my knees to shoot the flowers. The few feet of height made a huge difference on the angle and the flower looked completely different close up. Ever since then I have seen the world through different eyes. As cheesy as this may sound, I have actually learned how to get close and learned what it means to get close. It took almost 30 pictures to get the picture I finally had in mind, and after all that I ended up choosing a picture that was completely different, one that had not even crossed my mind.
5. The difference between shape and form is that shape is 2D and form is 3D. My picture for form is was taken in the MSJ Garden. This illustrates form because the parts of the pine cone are showed in 3D and it expresses length, depth, and width. My picture for shape was taken outside near Ms. Waller's room. I picked a leaf because it is so thin that it looks 2D and the leaf has a clear closed line making it a geometric figure. It expresses length and width, but not depth.
6. Pattern is the shape being repeated multiple times throughout the picture while repetition is similar to pattern but makes the picture seem more active. My pictures for pattern and repetition are linked above.
7. My about me page was inspired by Vivian Chen. From her page, it is obvious she is an outgoing person and she loves to interact with people. I wanted to give off the same vibe as her, therefore she is my inspiration.
8. My last three projects were my final project, my presentation project, and my commercial shoot project. I think my best work came from the final project. This is because it was so abstract and it showed a part of me. I am very energetic and have many different emotion so I was really able to express myself through that project. This project changed my because it taught me that I can express myself in ways other than just talking to other. I think this is my best work because I was able to use one of my rules of composition, color.
